SEND Visits

Helping to keep costs down as well as allows for flexibility when making plans and last minute visits!

Barleylands is in an excellent location for SEND Groups and Schools, lot’s of open space and easy access areas as well as having two Changing Places unit blocks on site (in two different locations). For full access information, take a look at our Accessibility Guide.

Proud to offer Self-Guided Visits, which many of our smaller and SEND Groups book and make use of. We have a farm museum in the Farm Park (the Discovery Centre), and the opportunity to take part in the daily activities set out by the Farm Park Team.
Self-Guided days are much more appropriate and ideal for small groups. Costs for Self-Guided Visits start from £11.50 per Student (excluding vat). You can upgrade for an additional £1.00 per person to include a base for the day, some free animal feed and your own personal tractor and trailer ride.

Plant with us

You can book a session with one of our Education Officers to visit our polytunnel, enjoy a tactile experience feeling and touching our lovely plants, and plant your own seed to take away.

This session is an additional £50 (excluding vat) and is easy to book.  Please click on the green button below to enquire.

Farmyard Friends (NEW for 2026/27)

Suitable for groups of 15 or more.  Cost £13.50 excluding vat

Farmyard Friends – a less structured visit which includes a guide for the morning and free time after lunch.  Suitable for all ages.

If you are looking for a farm visit where you will meet all our lovely farmyard friends but have plenty of time to explore the park and our many play areas, then this is the day for you.

What it includes:

• You will have a guide for the morning who will introduce you to our lovely farmyard friends and have the opportunity to watch our birds of prey show (subject to weather).
• Enjoy a tractor and trailer ride
• Groups will have a base for lunch  (base is available 10.00 a.m. until 2.00p.m.)
• We have plenty of picnic areas to enjoy during dry weather.
• Free time after lunch to enjoy the park.

Farmer Tours

(can also be booked with a Self-Guided Visit)

You can book an hour’s Farmer Tour, giving you time with one of our farmers which can be tailored to your needs.

SEND Bulk Buy Ticket Scheme

If your Group/School are frequent visitors, you may be interested in our SEND bulk buy Ticket Scheme. Schools and registered groups can purchase Farm Park entry codes,  which can be redeemed online for Farm Park tickets and are valid for 3 years.

We know that it can be challenging planning ahead. That is why with this Scheme we offer flexibility, meaning that you can turn up on the day. You can come at a time that works for you (typically our Guided Visits start from 10am) as well as allowing your Party to arrive at different times. There is not a set duration therefore you can leave the Farm Park when it suits you. We also know that numbers of attendees can be a last minute change on the day of a planned visit, and with this Scheme you will not lose any money.

This is also ideal if you are a SEND group that regularly bring small groups of children.

You can purchase up to 30 tickets at a cost of £11.50 excluding vat.  If you would like to purchase more than 30 tickets, the cost of each ticket is reduced to £10.00 excluding vat.

• Codes can be redeemed for one child plus a carer.
• Codes can only be used online to book your farm park entry tickets.  The codes are not admission tickets. 
• When booking online, add one child to your basket.  When checking out, enter your code into the “discount code” box.
• Only one code can be used per transaction, e.g. a group of three children will require three codes and will have to book their tickets across three transactions.
• Codes can be used for standard entry tickets into the Farm Park term time only
• When booking online, please select the ‘voucher entry’ option then exchange the ticket at the Farm Park kiosk.

Benefits:

• Schools and groups have the option to visit on a day that suits them instead of booking in advance.
• The codes issued will be valid for 3 years from date of purchase.
• Please note tickets are valid for term time only. T’s and C’s apply.
