This disclaimer outlines the expectation held against all those who wish to partake and attend one of our experiences. It is important that this disclaimer is fully read and understood before the experience commences, either by the participant or a responsible guardian. If anything addressed in this experience is not adhered to, we have the right to terminate your experience at any point throughout the day. This disclaimer is in place to ultimately safeguard the welfare of our animals and our team, as well as yourself.
Though all our animals are trained, captive born individuals who specialise in educating the public, the ‘friendliness’ of our animals is not to be confused with that of a domesticated animal. Under no circumstances must you directly touch our animals, unless instructed you can do so. When handling the animals please ensure you are using slow and careful movements and are avoiding the temptation to move your arms in vigorous motions. If any discomfort is felt when handling, please inform the person overseeing your experience. When handling/interacting with these animals please keep your hands and face away from their mouths and resist trying to feed the animals any food unless instructed to do so. Please make no attempt to gain the animals attention, this will be done by whoever is guiding your experience. Please ensure you listen to all instructions given by the person leading your experience, as disregarding any points mentioned will result in potential compromises of welfare to our animals or yourself.
Please ensure all footwear is suitable for outdoor activities and handling animals, as you may be entering their enclosures as part of the experience. Please avoid wearing any fur or faux-fur clothing, as well as any open toed shoes, as these can act as distractions to some of the animals. We will provide any necessary PPE such as disposable gloves.
Please ensure we have been made aware of any medical conditions or disabilities that you feel may compromise your fitness during the experience. Any open wounds should be appropriately dressed prior to the experience, and it will be your responsibility to wash your hands after your experience and handling of all animals.
Photography is more that welcome on your experience, though please ensure you ask the permission of your guide if any photos taken have them in the background or foreground. In some occasions we may have a team member taking photos of your experience, and in some cases any photos uploaded to social media may be used for our own social media and marketing, though this is done with the uploaders permission. Please let us know if you do not consent to us using any pictures containing yourself for our social media or marketing.
We will not take any responsibility for accidents and injuries that occur if previously mentioned points are not adhered to. We have the right to terminate any experience if it is felt the actions of one of the party members compromises the welfare of our animals. We expect all participants and guests to be respectful towards our animals and our staff, and any violations of this will not be tolerated.
