If you have never been to Barleylands with your school, then now is the time to find out why we are the best outdoor classroom and ideal trip destination.
If you are wondering what makes Barleylands so popular as a school trip venue, why not take advantage of our “FREE SUMMER HOLIDAY TEACHER DAYS” and find out for yourself?
Designed for those who would like to know more about our education programme, our Free Teacher Days run throughout the summer holidays. You can browse our education facilities and speak directly with a member of the Education Team who will be able to answer any questions you might have. If you have children of your own, they too are welcome to come along for a fun day in the park free of charge. So that’s one summer activity dealt with!
By the end of the summer term, over 18,000 children will have visited Barleylands Education Programme and taken part in one of our many curriculum linked days.

For the Education Team, it is great to be back to pre-covid numbers, welcoming classes from pre-school through to KS3. Barleylands is an award-winning outdoor classroom with cookery workshops and we are renowned for providing bespoke days to suit the needs of our visiting schools.
Our Teacher Days can be booked on any Tuesday during the summer holidays (August 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th). A member of the Education Team will be happy to meet with you between 10a.m and 2p.m. and, of course, you can spend the whole day in the Farm Park.
Visits will be booked upon receipt of request. If you would like to take advantage of this offer please e-mail [email protected] with the following information:

Upon confirmation of booking, your school will be entered into the Prize Draw for Schools, with a chance to win a FREE school visit for up to 30 children (terms and conditions apply).
Due to demand, Free Teacher Day places are limited to a maximum of two staff members per school and a maximum of two children per teacher attending. Extra adults and children can be paid for either on entry or online:
