Essex Big Weekend is back and we’ve signed up for a second year! The special event, taking place this March, gives the county’s residents the chance to visit some of the best attractions and days out – including Barleylands Farm Park – for free.
Organised by Visit Essex – in partnership with Essex Tourism Week – Essex Big Weekend is all about giving Essex residents the chance to discover – or rediscover – the tourist attractions on their doorstep.
Barleylands will be giving away 50 pairs of free tickets for Essex Big Weekend when it takes place on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25th March.
Chris Philpot, Barleylands Farm Park, said: “We are delighted to be taking part in the Essex Big Weekend again. Last year was a great successful, we welcomed many local visitors who had never experienced the fun of the farm and we can’t wait to meet this year’s lucky ballot winners. There is so much to see and do at Barleylands – we are home to farm animals big and small, majestic birds of prey as well as the region’s largest collection of reptiles. We also have a fantastic line-up of things to do indoors and a host of daily activities, so there’s lots to do even if the weather isn’t so good.”
Those lucky enough to get tickets to visit Barleylands during the Essex Big Weekend will also have the opportunity to visit The Village which is host to a number of shops, craft studios and boutiques. Residents can bid for tickets at www.essexbigweekend
