Barleylands Farm is delighted to be the main sponsor of the Education in Essex Awards 2016.
Our award winning Education Centre provides fun and educational days out to inspire growing minds.
We bring the curriculum to life with our hands on experiences, covering geography, science, history, design and technology, literacy and maths in a cross curriculum schools programme.
Barleyland has a long tradition in education and farming. We believe in providing the best possible educational opportunities for young people and our engaging and entertaining activities cater for all learners from Early Years Foundation Stage to Key Stage 4.
Barleyland’s Education Officer Karen Watson explained: “We want to inspire young minds with hands on experiences. So whether it’s giving children a better understanding of where their food comes from, getting up close to animals, visiting fields of crops by tractor and trailer, planting in our polytunnel, exploring our wildlife area or cooking from scratch using local produce we are here to support our schools.”
Education Officer Karen Watson added: “Congratulations and good luck to all the finalists in the Essex Education Awards!”
Teachers are being invited to find out more about Barleyland’s educational activities over a champagne cream tea on Thursday 9 February.
