We have now adapted our award-winning school workshops for exclusive access online.
Wherever you are in the country, you can learn about our animals on the Farm Park, see inside our educational polytunnel, and join in a virtual outreach Field to Fork workshop with one of our Education Assistants. The sessions have been designed to offer schools who cannot travel to the farm the opportunity to learn about food and farming, and how the everyday produce you eat gets to your plate.
With these immersive and interactive sessions, children will be able to ask questions, and schools can choose from a fun cookery workshop, learning how easy it is to make a healthy snack, or a seed table workshop, learning about all the seeds we plant in our fields, their end products, and what we use them for. The session involves wheat grinding, and we will send you a small packet of wheat seeds to your school ahead of your scheduled booking, along with some information on the milling process.
Sessions will be in two parts and can be adapted for Key Stage One or Key Stage Two children. You will start with a recorded outdoor session meeting our animals and exploring our educational polytunnel and end with a fantastic virtual classroom session with one of our Education Assistants.
