Our famous Donkey Derby will be returning to Barleylands this July, just in time for our Six Weeks of Summer line-up of special fun-filled activities.
Returning to the track are Eeyore, Tiny Tim and Jenny, who will be keeping our visitors entertained throughout the whole of summer as they race around the Barleylands Farm track every day.
Said Farmer Dave Finkle: “Our Donkey Derby was so popular last year, we just had to bring it back! Our donkeys love a run around the track and all our visitors think they’re adorable.”
The Donkey Derby marks the start of Barleylands ‘Six Weeks of Summer’ – where visitors will enjoy a new adventure every week throughout the school holidays. With a host of fun themed weeks from Go Wild (Week 1), Animal Magic (Week 2), Treasure Hunters (Week 3), Magic & Mayhem (Week 4), Rumble in the Jungle (Week 5) and new for 2017 Barley Fest (Week 6) – it’s the ultimate family festival.
