UKE FEST Planned for Summer!
Craft Village studio Rainbow Music have exciting news… the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain are to headline their UKE FEST festival!
The internationally acclaimed Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain will be performing at an all-day outdoor ukulele festival here at Barleylands which will be the UK’s first large scale outdoor ukulele festival celebrating all things ukulele.
The festival will include a host of other top professional ukulele acts including Phil Doleman, Ben Rouse, Zoe Bestel, Charlotte Meldrum and Phillipa Leigh.
Amateur society bands will perform and the crowd will be able to take part in several mass strumalsongs. In addition there will be workshops and a Ukulele Market.
Julia Rich of U Fest Ltd said; “We are absolutely thrilled that The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain will be joining us for an inaugural event. These incredibly talented musicians have played Sydney Opera House, The Royal Albert Hall, New York’s Carnegie Hall, Glastonbury – and now Billericay!”
The one day festival is taking place on Saturday 23rd July 2016.
