To celebrate World Book Day at Barleylands this week, we started the day with a story from the Barleylands lambing shed.
Katie read The Gingerbread Man story to the little lambs, Apricot and Jellybean, with the help of Clara the sheep. To watch the story and see how helpful Clara really was, click on the video below.
Later that day, Karen our Education Officer joined Jordan, our Farm Park Manager to make some Gingerbread Men from our education kitchen at Barleylands. They used a really fun and easy recipe to create some very yummy treats and they even had a Gingerbread Man decorating competition at the end. To re-watch the Facebook Live video, click here.
Thank you to everyone who joined us over World Book Day at Barleylands, it was so much fun and we just love the Gingerbread Man story. So much so that we even have an educational visit at Barleylands dedicated to the story for EYFS and KS1 students.
