SEND Visits
Barleylands is in an excellent location for SEND Groups and Schools, lot’s of open space and easy access areas as well as having two Changing Places unit blocks on site (in two different locations). For full access information, take a look at our Accessibility Guide.
Proud to offer Self-Guided Visits, which many of our smaller and SEND Groups book and make use of. We have a farm museum in the Farm Park (the Discovery Centre), and the opportunity to take part in the daily activities set out by the Farm Park Team.
Self-Guided days are much more appropriate and ideal for small groups. Costs for Self-Guided Visits start from £10.50 per Student (excluding vat). You can upgrade for an additional £1.00 per person to include a base for the day, some free animal feed and your own personal tractor and trailer ride.
Farmer Tours

You can book an hour’s Farmer Tour, giving you time with one of our farmers which can be tailored to your needs.

Cookery Workshops
(can also be booked with a Self-Guided Visit)
Our Cookery Workshops are for one hour and designed for all abilities, which helps Children get hands-on in the kitchen. A Cookery Workshop is an additional £50.00 (excluding vat). If this is something that would suit your learning needs, please book here:
SEND Bulk Buy Ticket Scheme
If your Group/School are frequent visitors, you may be interested in our SEND bulk buy Ticket Scheme.
We know that it can be challenging planning ahead. That is why with this Scheme we offer flexibility, meaning that you can turn up on the day. You can come at a time that works for you (typically our Guided Visits start from 10am) as well as allowing your Party to arrive at different times. There is not a set duration therefore you can leave the Farm Park when it suits you. We also know that numbers of attendees can be a last minute change on the day of a planned visit, and with this Scheme you will not lose any money. The bulk buy Scheme works out 0.50p a person cheaper during Off Peak than a Self-Guided Visit and a bigger saving of a £1.50 pp during our Peak times.
This is also ideal if you are a SEND group that regularly bring up to 15 children. You can purchase a minimum of 30 tickets at a reduced cost of £10.00 per ticket.
Benefits:
- Schools and groups have the option to visit on a day that suits them instead of booking in advance.
- Any expired tickets can be returned and we will replace them.
- Please note tickets are valid for term time only. T’s and C’s apply.
